AstraVision Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 25, 2026
1. Who we are
AstraVision (https://astravision.ai) is an AI media-generation service: images, videos, talking avatars, and AI-studio artwork from text prompts — and, when you choose, from photos you upload. This policy explains what personal information we collect, what happens to the photos and prompts you give us, and your rights over your data.
2. What we collect
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and sign-in credentials (or identity data from your social sign-in provider, e.g. Google). We also keep your account settings and preferences.
Subscription and payment metadata. When you subscribe, buy credit packs, or make other purchases, we record transaction metadata — plan or pack, amounts, dates, and gateway reference — so we can manage your billing. Card and bank details are handled entirely by our payment processors (Stripe, and where available PayPal, Razorpay, and Mollie); card data is never stored on our servers.
Photos and prompts you provide. When you generate media, you may write text prompts and upload source images — for example, a photo of your own face when creating a talking avatar. What happens to these is described in Section 3; it is the most important part of this policy.
Usage and technical data. We collect basic technical data (IP address, browser, device, pages visited) to operate, secure, and improve the service.
3. The critical part: what happens to the photos and prompts you upload
Source images are processed transiently and never stored on our servers.
When you upload a source image, it is read into memory, converted into a transient data URI (an in-memory image representation), and sent directly to the third-party AI provider that generates your media. The image is used only for that single generation. It is not written to our servers' file storage, is not persisted in our databases, and is discarded once the generation completes. Your text prompts go to the same providers to complete the generation and are retained in the limited form described below.
This is intentional: AstraVision keeps no copy of your source photos — nothing to retrieve later, by us or by anyone who gains access to our systems. To generate the same media again, you must re-upload it.
What we keep: the media we generate for you (Section 4) and the prompts you submitted, so your generation history is available in your account. Generated media never contains your original source image.
4. Generated media and how long we keep it
Media you create (images, videos, avatars, studio artwork) is stored in object storage and delivered to your account gallery; it is not publicly visible unless you share it.
Retention. Generated media is retained for a period set by your plan (each item carries an expiry date). Expired items are removed by automated cleanup — you do not need to do anything.
Deletion. You can delete any generated item from your account at any time, and you can delete your entire account from Settings. Account deletion is a hard delete: your profile data, prompt history, and stored media are removed from our systems, including the storage objects that hold your generated files. (Email deletion requests are handled within 30 days.)
5. How we use your information
We use the information above to operate the service (authenticate you, generate and deliver media, bill you), improve it (fix bugs, measure performance, develop features), communicate with you (notifications, receipts, support), and keep it safe (fraud and abuse prevention, enforcing our Terms of Use). We do not sell your personal information or your content.
6. Third-party processors and international transfers
To provide the service, we share data with these processors:
- AI providers — the engines that generate your media: Replicate, OpenAI, Google (Gemini), xAI, MiniMax, ByteDance (Seedream), Stability AI, among others we may add. They receive the prompts and transient source images needed for one generation (Section 3).
- Payment processors — Stripe (primary) and, where offered, PayPal, Razorpay, and Mollie. They process payments and hold card/bank data; we never see or store it.
- Analytics — Google Analytics 4, loaded only after you accept cookies (see the Cookies Policy).
- Hosting and infrastructure — our servers are located in the United States; some providers may process data in other countries.
Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. We rely on standard contractual clauses and similar safeguards where required by law.
7. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies: essential ones (keeping you signed in, protecting against cross-site request forgery), preference cookies (theme, language), and — with your consent — analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4). See our Cookies Policy for details and how to withdraw consent.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you; to correct inaccurate or incomplete information (most of it is editable in your account); to delete your information — per item from your account, or your whole account (a hard delete) from Settings; and to object to or restrict processing in certain circumstances. To exercise any right, or ask a question, email support@astravision.ai; we respond within 30 days.
9. Children and age
AstraVision is for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and content involving minors is prohibited and removed under our Terms of Use. We plan to add an in-product age-verification step; until then, creating an account certifies that you are at least 18.
10. Security
We apply industry-standard technical and organizational measures — encryption in transit, restricted access, regular review — to protect your data. Because we do not persist source images (Section 3), those photos carry no server-side exposure risk by design.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time; material changes will be announced on the site (for example, a notice at sign-in). The "Last updated" date at the top shows the current version.
